Community Programs
The Edinburgh Cricket Club was founded on the motto 'Help keep the kids off the streets'. This legacy is reflected in the Club's ongoing work bringing cricket to kids that might otherwise miss out. You can find out more about our community programs below, or make a tax deductible donation here to support them:

The Atherton Gardens Program
The Atherton Garden's program is one of the Club's proudest initiatives. In conjunction with Yarra Youth Resources Officers (YYROs) from Victoria Police and supported by Cricket Victoria, Yarra Council and the Clifton Hill/North Fitzroy Community Bank, Edinburgh runs a clinic every year for the children of the Atherton Gardens community housing complex on Brunswick/Gertrude streets, Fitzroy. It is held at Atherton Gardens and is is part of the YYRO after school FASTA program.
The majority of the children involved are from refugee or new-migrant backgrounds and have never played (or even heard of) cricket before. Edinburgh encourages and supports all children interested in playing cricket regularly to join the club's junior program and, pleasingly, several youngsters have made the transition to the Club’s under 11s junior side.

All Abilities Program
Edinburgh also provides a clinic for children with disabilities. The program is supported by Yarra City Council and runs on Saturday mornings in February.
More information regarding this year's program will be provided closer to cricket season.
