JUNIOR MIXED
Edinburgh fields teams in the Eastern Cricket Association at all competition age groups – U9s, U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s for Junior Mixed.
New players are welcome and coaching is available to help players who have not previously played competitive cricket.
Registrations for for Junior teams in season 2026/27 will open around August 2026, please contact eccfitzroy@gmail for more info.

Trainings are on Monday nights from 5:30pm at Brunswick Street Oval nets.
Matches are played on Friday afternoons from 5:00pm.
Players from 16-18 are also encouraged to train with the seniors on Thursdays from 6pm. Our aim is for players in this age bracket to transition into our senior teams and begin their journey with senior cricket.

Parent involvement
Being a community club, Edinburgh expects parents to help out in a small way with our junior teams. Some of the roles are team manager, scoring, rostering or providing food. While the roles are small, they are important to the smooth running of our junior club.

JUNIOR AGE GROUPS
Junior players are generally allowed to play ‘up’ an age-group if they wish. Please see the age-group rules set by the association we play under (ECA):
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 18 age division a player must:attain the age of 18 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of 14 years before 1 September in the year in which the season commences.
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 16 age division a player must:attain the age of 16 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of 12 years before 1 September in the year in which the season commences.
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 14 age division a player must:attain the age of 14 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of ten years before 1 September in the year in which the season commences.
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 12 age division a player must:attain the age of 12 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of eight years before the first match in which he/she plays.
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 10 age division a player must:attain the age of 10 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of eight years by 28 February of the year following the start of the season.
To be eligible to be registered to play in the Under 9 age division a player must:attain the age of 9 years on or after 1 September in the year in which the season commences, andhave attained the age of eight years by 28 February of the year following the start of the season.
Girls playing in the competition can play one year below their chronological age.
